DAY 21. wha- how? It’s that fourth dimension again. Being all predictable and surprising at the same time. (Kind of like Pakistan…)
We just ate the best home-made muffins ever. (Discovered here on Sally’s Baking Addiction.) Muffins are not my area of expertise so I didn’t mess with the recipe at all. Smart move AFizzle, smart move.
First, find a sous-chef. If he is a boy, make sure to keep your instructions short and simple. Speak slowly and clearly, and remember to tell him he is pretty at frequent intervals. It will keep him motivated and on-task.
Instruct him to combine ½ cup flour, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, ½ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt.
While he busies himself, melt 100g chocolate with ½ cup butter. Then mix in ½ – ¾ cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla and 3 tbs yoghurt.
Then mix it all up. And add chocolate chunks. Your boy-sous-chef can also help to do this. He may feel the chocolate quantity is inadequate. Allow him to remedy this himself, it will give him confidence for when he eventually has to enter the real world as an independent boy-adult.
Bake for 5 mins on 190-200 C, then 15 mins on 175 C.
It should turn out beautiful. But not as beautiful as your sous-chef. Or Pakistan’s win over England. Wait wait, let me say it again. Not as beautiful as Pakistan’s crushing win over England aka favourites to win the tournament aka the only non-Asian team left in the tournament aka the team that got knocked out by the lowest ranked team in the tournament. Just munch on some chocolate muffin as you take that in. It will feel good.
So we’ve got a Pakistan-India Final which is, you know, totally fine. Really. We’re very um…optimistic.
I think I might need more chocolatey goods for that though.
Also, big brother, if you actually read this…you’re very pretty 😁
