Mini Oreo Cheesecake

THREE test matches on a Sunday.

Ok so South Africa may have lost, and Pakistan are flailing a bit, and we’ve got 2 injured brownies in the England team, but everything is fine.

Except when I took a study break (meaning a break from cricket in order to study) and I missed 3 wickets. Everything was not fine then but I have since recovered.

So. Much. Cricket.

I have also now recovered from last week’s parent-teacher meetings. These have arrived a lot sooner in my life than previously anticipated, probably because ‘teacher’ was never really a plan. And when it was I still didn’t totally think about it. And even now I’m a bit confused as to where I fit into the ‘parent-teacher’ equation.

Parents want to know stuff about their 4 year old kids. Parents have serious questions and concerns about their 4 year old kids. All I can say is ‘Well, they’re a kid. They…walk like a kid…talk like a kid…overall act like a kid…are entertaining in the way that kids are. So in my professional opinion, looks to me like your kid is doing a pretty good job at being a kid.’

I’ve had to brainstorm on the spot different and formal sounding ways of telling parents to “chill” because that’s usually my (objective!) response to their anxieties.

You can probably tell that I’m really good at my job.

Fortunately there are actually things I’m better at. Like rapid snack production. I found some recently expired oreos in a cupboard and thought now is as good a time as any to consume them.

  • I squished 4 oreos with a tbs of milk and voila, cheesecake base.
  • I then squished a heaped tbs of cream cheese with ½ tbs of sugar and boom, cheesecake topping.

So it’s not store-quality cheesecake but hey, yummy food is yummy food.

There’s being lazy and then there’s being resourceful. 😁

MamaFizzle is right. She should be their batting coach. They clearly do not know what they are doing and could benefit from her boundless wisdom.

😂😂 Mama Fizzle wouldn’t just be their batting coach, she’d be their LIFE coach. She would start by explaining to them why they shouldn’t have so many tattoos.

Someone is clearly confused, I thought it was always Papa Fizzle who believed that he should be coaching them. Still we might make a good team of being batting and life coaches, I suppose!
