Making Bread Easier

Making bread easier…well for me anyway. Though of you who view bread-making as a piece of cake, well, go EAT CAKE, OK!!?

I don’t like it.

I don’t like making bread.

It’s all that kneading…

Then by the end, you’re just like this, exhausted but still kneading:

It’s just…

So…you’d think flat bread doesn’t make that much of a difference, right? I mean, it’s the same process of kneading and stuff…

Oh, yes.

I can see MamaFizzle internally face-palming and freaking out as I type. Not again.

But yes.

I froze it.

So here it is:

Mix, then leave for ten minutes.
– 1 tbsp yeast
– 2 tbsp sugar
– 1/4 cup of warm water

Mix, in another bowl:
-3 Cups of Flour
-1 tsp. of baking powder
-1 tsp. salt or salt to taste

Add to flour mix:
-3 tbsp of melted butter
-Yeast mix.

Then add:
Up to 1 cup of warm water to form the dough. For me, in non-humid weather, 1/2 was good enough. Knead for about 5 minutes. Let rise for like 2 hours…

Make little flat bread things just using hands to flatten on a plate. Use some oil to make the process less sticky… Then cook on non-stick pan (No need to cover really) and flip over when the sides brown, and it looks like this:

Stick this in the freezer. Or eat it. Or make double and stick half into the freezer, then reheat it…

Maybe it’s just me, but with the whole freezing part, this is just a whole lot easier than other bread for me. And because they’re small, you can take them out individually and just heat them. Easy frozen snack/meal/bread… Which just happens to taste pretty good…
