Strawberry Avocado Mousse

Ok, so this needs some explanation.

I love strawberries.

I love strawberries.

So much. Anyway, my love for sweetened strawberries cannot be described in mere words. And the sorrow I feel upon losing the pure strawberriness of a beautiful strawberry is perhaps unrivalled.

It was a dilemma, Fizzles, and I had to use my ingenious thinking to solve this riddle. How to make a strawberry smoothie/mousse with other ingredients without losing the pure strawberriness of a strawberry?

And it came to me. In the form of google images.

A double smoothie/mousse, together, but unmixed.

The results surpassed my own expectations (and my expectations were high)

And the simplicity of it risks offending MamaFizzle*.

This is what I did:

Took some Strawberries. Pureed them with any sweetener to taste. (Sugar/honey/other or even none)

Pureed Avocado with MOAR sweetener of choice and (optional) milk/water to desired consistency and taste. (Less liquid = Creamy Mousse, More liquid = Smoothie. Science.)

You could use any fruit of choice, really. So this isn’t a recipe so much as an idea. But ideas are more powerful than recipes anyway.

Here, I tried to make it pretty for blogging purposes.


But then this is how I actually actually ate it. Yummy either way.
